Positions: Hiring for an experienced Interior Installer/Finisher

We are known as a customer’s one-stop AMO (Aircraft Maintenance Organization) shop for:

· Maintenance

· Full Interior Refurbishment/Modification

· Avionics Installations

· Exterior Paint Refinishing

· Engineering Support

1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

· To apply finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of cabinets and interior parts.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES a. Conduct daily operations such as cleaning, repairing, sanding, polishing and application of finishes to cabinets, interior panels and other aerospace products.

b. Meet quote expectations.

c. Organize and keep a clean work setting in the finishes shop and related work areas.

d. Complete work and discrepancies in accordance with company procedures.

Repair broken plastics.

f. Complete all necessary paperwork as related to job functions.

g. Participate in and support the company’s SMS program.

h. Perform other duties, as necessary or as assigned by the Supervisor.

3. TYPICAL JOB DECISIONS a. Typical independent decisions that the job holder is required to make without the input of a supervisor. Show these in order of importance to the job.

o Decide on the acceptance and quality of completed work.

o Decide on priorities and set-up of Interior Finishing department.

o Decide on alternate types of materials used during the finishing process.

b. Typical decisions that the job holder is required to refer to a supervisor.

o Establish priorities for the cabinet shop.

o Project/Task work scope changes.

o Any requirements for rework or quality issues.

4. JOB KNOWEDGE AND SKILLS (The minimum specialized knowledge and skills required to perform the essential responsibilities of the role.)

a. Knowledge o Knowledge of application of finishes and/or detailing experience.

o Knowledge of body repair o Knowledge of sanding / polishing b. Skills o Ability to spray various material products.

o Ability to work with power tools such as sander, polisher, spray gun.

o Good attention to detail.

c. By the end of Probation, must have successfully completed:

o WHIMIS training;

o Human factors training;





o Adherence to housekeeping practices and tools/equipment maintenance procedures.

5. JOB QUALIFICATIONS a. Required o Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.

b. Preferred o Certificate of qualification or trades.

o Auto body, carpentry or wood working experience.

6. Effort and Working Conditions a. Physical Effort o Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

o Sitting or standing for long periods of time.

o Crouching, bending and kneeling.

o Must be able to work from heights.

o Sand for long periods of time.

b. Visual and Concentration Effort o Must be cognizant of situational awareness at all times with strong attention to detail.

c. Unpleasant, Hazardous or Challenging Working Conditions o Exposure to hazardous chemicals, slippery floors, dust, adverse weather conditions and working in confined areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
