RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Intermediate Civil Technologist assumes the following responsibilities:

1. To assist in fieldwork which may include testing, estimating, and project management.
2. To assist in laboratory testing.
3. To assist in preparation of technical reports, may include design, calculations, preparation of construction documentations, construction cost estimates and cost analysis.
4. To coordinate and schedule / plan the projects with the team to ensure completion.
5. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
6. To market and promote services offered by Fundy Engineering.
7. Source “Request for Proposals” and assist in preparation of documentation and fee estimates.
8. To meet the needs of the client when coordinating with other disciplines and office personnel to ensure that these requirements are met.
9. To assist in the fundamentals of design, calculations and preparation of construction documentation.
10. To perform public relation functions as they relate to my discipline.
11. To respect company values and policies.

To assume any other relevant duties at the request of the (supervisor).

Teamwork and Leadership · Maintain a positive working relationship with team members to interact with them on projects.

· Collaborate with Fundy Engineering management and other teams to prioritize projects, workloads and needs.

· Work with clients to ensure projects are meeting their goals and needs, then communicate necessary adjustments to management, teams, and owners.

MINIMAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Civil Technologist or the equivalent.

Experience: Experience an asset

Other Skills: Organizational skills, communication, leadership, teamwork, analytical capabilities. Ability to operate specific software. Ability to work and make decisions to meet deadlines with support and direction from senior staff. Ability to work in a team setting.
