City Centre Auto service is seeking a skilled and productive Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to join our busy independent repair team. In this role, you will be part of the backbone of our shop, handling complex diagnostics and advanced repairs on a diverse range of vehicles. We are looking for a reliable professional who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, maintains a productive pace, and enjoys mentoring the next generation of technicians.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Certification: Valid Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician certification (Red Seal or regional equivalent).

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a licensed technician.

- License: Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (ability to drive manual transmissions required).

- Tools: Possession of own tool box and tools, some shop tools are available but you are to have your own base set at minimum.

- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with modern diagnostic software and digital shop management systems.

- Strong Work Ethic: Excellent time-management skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues using a variety of multi-brand scan tools and diagnostic equipment. AC systems knowledge an asset.

- Comprehensive Repairs: Perform high-quality repairs on engines, drivetrains, steering and suspension, brakes, and climate control systems.

- Vehicle Inspections:



Conduct thorough digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) to identify safety concerns and preventative maintenance needs, providing clear explanations for service advisors. Inspection certification an asset but not required.

- Service Advisor: Invoicing, Part Management, Quotes, Communication with clients to determine needs and confirm repairs.

- Apprentice Mentorship: Supervise and guide automotive apprentices, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

- Quality Control: Road-test vehicles to confirm repairs are completed successfully and ensure work meets strict shop safety and quality standards.
