LEX3 is looking for a curious, motivated, and practically minded Junior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Engineering Team and grow with us through hands-on involvement in meaningful infrastructure projects. In this role, you will gain exposure to the full life cycle of bridge work—from project pursuits and inspections through assessment, design, construction administration, and construction completion. You will work alongside experienced bridge engineers who are invested in your development, while also being given opportunities to take ownership, solve real project challenges, and see the impact of your contributions in the built environment.

Our project work spans inspection, assessment, design, construction supervision, and contract administration of bridge-size culverts, major bridges, and broader transportation infrastructure assignments, offering an excellent opportunity to build technical depth, practical judgment, and confidence early in your career.

In this role, you can expect to build experience in areas such as:

- Coordinating bridge and transportation infrastructure projects with support from experienced staff
- Contributing to the assessment and design of replacement and rehabilitation of bridges and transportation structures
- Participating in inspections, field reviews, construction supervision assignments
- Supporting hydrotechnical analysis
- Liaising with design and interdisciplinary teams
- Working closely with design and drafting teams to develop practical engineering solutions
- Preparing technical reports, drawings, specifications, and construction contract documentsSupporting construction contract administration and gaining first-hand exposure to how designs are delivered in the field

Our successful candidate will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, Applied Sciences, or a closely related engineering discipline from a Canadian-accredited engineering program, or an equivalent degree recognized for APEGA registration.




- Registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.), or eligible to register as an E.I.T. upon employment.
- 0 to 4 years of structural engineering experience. Current graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to work from LEX3’s Calgary office within the requirements of the position.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and access to transportation for site visits.

Time Commitment / Term This is a full time, permanent position (40 hours per week).

Location The position is required in our Calgary office. Our versatile work environment allows employees to work from home up to two days per week if preferred.
