Position Title: Kinder/School Age Teacher/Educator

Program: Kinder/School age (ages 4 through 12)

Part-Time for the School Year (September to June), Before and After School with an increase in hours on P.A. Days and Holidays (including summer)

Monday - Friday

20 - 25 hours per week with room to grow

As a leader in child care in the Brockville and surrounding area, we are responsible for the care of over 40 children during the day, plus an after-school program of over 20 children. Our staff are truly special, dedicated educators who provide a safe and nurturing learning environment that enhances the development of the whole child.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for providing care and education to children 4-12 years of age in a group setting which meets the standards of the Early Years Act, Code of Ethics and the Policies and procedures of the St John Bosco Children’s Centre.

- Programming, planning, and facilitating a balance of appropriate activities
- Guiding children’s behaviour through discussion and logical sequences
- Communicating with parents on an on-going basis, regarding the progress of child development and areas of concern in the children’s behaviour, activities, and any physical concerns

Qualifications:
- College Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker (CYW) or equivalent (experience will be considered)
- Current unrestricted Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Experience in a KINDER and/or SCHOOL-AGE program would be beneficial
- Up to date Standard First Aid CPR Level C
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen
- Up-to-date vaccinations and immunizations as per local health unit guidelines

Additional hours available based on applicants' availability. Monday to Friday; subject to all hours of operation (6:30am-5:30 pm) Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.88-$25.86 per hour
