Position Summary

RidgeSide Property Management Inc. is a residential property management firm serving landlords and investors throughout the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, and Markham. We provide tenant placement and full-service property management to owners of single-family homes, condominiums, and multi-unit properties.

We are seeking a commission-based Leasing Agent to conduct in-person showings of our rental listings and carry prospective tenants through to a signed lease. Leads and listings are supplied by RidgeSide; there is no cold prospecting or personal marketing spend required. This position suits a motivated individual who prefers earnings tied directly to results and who wants control over their own schedule.

Please note: This is not a licensed real estate position. We do not engage licensed Realtors for this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-person showings of available rental properties throughout the GTA
- Schedule and confirm showing appointments with prospective tenants
- Respond to inquiries and guide qualified applicants through the rental application process
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to advance qualified leads to signed leases
- Collect and submit completed applications and supporting documentation for review
- Represent RidgeSide professionally in all interactions with clients, tenants, and applicants

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (required)




- Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, customer-focused manner
- Prior experience in leasing, property management, sales, hospitality, or customer service is an asset
- Working knowledge of GTA neighbourhoods and rental market conditions is an asset
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working without daily supervision
- Punctual, organized, and professionally presented
- Additional languages spoken within the GTA rental market are an asset

Schedule Hours are flexible and set by the agent. Showings are concentrated on weekday evenings and Saturdays, when prospective tenants are most available, so candidates should expect to be available during those periods. Volume varies with active listings and seasonal market conditions.

Compensation and Engagement Terms

This is a commission-only position. Compensation is paid as a percentage of one month's rent for each lease successfully completed, with full details provided during the interview process. There is no base salary, retainer, or hourly wage.

The position is engaged on an independent contractor basis. The successful candidate is responsible for their own income tax and HST/GST remittances, vehicle expenses, and transportation costs. Perks, vacation pay, and statutory deductions are not provided.
