About the Company

Our client, a well-established and highly respected Toronto law firm, is seeking a Litigation Law Clerk to join their team.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive clerical and legal support to lawyers on a variety of litigation matters
- Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, affidavits, briefs, and other legal documents
- Manage litigation files from commencement through resolution
- Draft and file court documents and correspondence
- Prepare and maintain limitation and procedural deadlines
- Coordinate discoveries, examinations, motions, mediations, and hearings
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties
- Conduct legal research and assist with document review and productions
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files
- Assist lawyers with trial preparation and other litigation-related matters

Requirements





- 4+years of experience as a Law Clerk in civil litigation
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and court procedures
- Experience with Superior Court and/or Federal Court matters
- Strong drafting, organizational, and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team

Compensation

- Salary up to $80,000, commensurate with experience
- Hybrid work workplace
