We are currently hiring immediately for experienced Local Class 1 Drivers for our Evening/Night Shift in Edmonton.

Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused, and professional Local Class 1 Driver to operate within the Edmonton area during our evening/night shift.

Shift Availability

This position is specifically for candidates who are available to work evening and overnight hours.

- Estimated Start Time: After 4:00 PM
- Estimated End Time: Up to approximately 4:00 AM
- Actual start and finish times may vary depending on operational requirements, workload, and dispatch schedules.
- Candidates must be flexible and comfortable working throughout the evening and overnight period.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles within the Edmonton area.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Pick up and deliver freight safely and on time.
- Secure cargo and ensure all loads meet applicable safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Follow applicable provincial and federal transportation regulations.




- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused work environment.

Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
- Minimum 2 years of verified Class 1 driving experience.
- Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract.
- Must be available for evening/night shifts starting after approximately 4:00 PM.
- Must be comfortable working overnight, potentially until approximately 4:00 AM.
- Robust knowledge of Alberta transportation regulations and safe driving practices.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Preferred Qualifications
- CP Rail and CN Rail experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with container, drayage, or intermodal operations is considered an asset.
