Purpose of Position To provide daily operation guidance and dispatch support for the Ottawa City location.

Reports to regional managers.

Duties/Responsibilities a) Daily briefing from dispatch in morning and afternoon on driver status and any issues outstanding or ongoing at present.

b) Brief General Manager or designate on operational status.

c) Ensure adequate staffing in dispatch, designate after hours On Call schedule, and provide coverage as required.

d) Supervision of dispatch personnel and drivers.

e) Manage and investigate complaints received against dispatch, drivers and/or Operations.

f) Ensure policies are complied with, both Willard policies and policies of CTSO.

g) Investigate vehicle accidents, attend scenes when possible and interact with police, ensure reports completed (or designate from Safety and Training).

h) Ensure CTSO receives their due notifications on bus involved accidents per policy.

i) Review accident causes and update General Manager, arrange for representation in court when necessary.

Provide all assistance necessary to Financial Controller and Administrative staff whenever required.

k) Inspect buses for cleanliness and damage (periodic inspections).

l) Meet with drivers to answer their inquiries and provide guidance.

m) Oversee all training such as Driver training, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS and Health and safety.

n) Prepare agendas and manage Company Safety Meetings as directed by General Manager.

o) Any other duties as assigned by head office.

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
