Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Shop Labourer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties

- Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines including laser cutters, plasma cutters, milling machines, lathes, and press brake equipment.
- Support machining processes by handling raw materials, loading and unloading parts using cranes and forklifts safely.
- Perform basic measurements and inspections using calipers, hand tools, and blueprint reading to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Prepare materials for machining by cutting, grinding, or assembling components as directed.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout production to verify accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.




- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery or handling heavy loads with cranes or forklifts.

Qualifications

- Previous experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of hand tools, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate machinery such as CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, welding equipment, cranes, and forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspection and assembly tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
