We are looking for a Machining student to support the design, development, and production of high-performance thermal solutions. You will work at the intersection of engineering and the shop floor - creating fixtures and process documentation, collaborating directly with machinists and engineers, and ensuring parts are produced to spec. This role is hands-on, high-impact, and built for someone who takes pride in making things right.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a diploma or degree program in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Machining, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proficient in SOLIDWORKS for 3D modeling and technical drafting; comfortable reading and producing GD&T; drawings.
- Solid understanding of machining processes, CNC operations, and common materials (aluminum, copper).
- Experience with precision measurement tools and a disciplined approach to quality and documentation.
- Strong communicator with an eye for detail and a bias toward clarity and organization.
- Experience with CNC milling programming or setup.
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with Friction Stir Welding (FSW) or liquid cold plate manufacturing.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite for process documentation and internal reporting.
