Position Details

Assist the Maintenance Manager with a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the company.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, can do attitude, and must be energetic and adaptable.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Performs general day-to-day maintenance of interior and exterior of the greenhouse and other operational areas.
- Assist with welding and fabrication tasks and repairs as necessary.
- Performs general repairs and overall maintenance to plumbing, carpentry, electrical equipment and mechanical equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities and forklifts
- Troubleshoot and repair pack line as quickly and effectively as possible to ensure constant flow of product
- Complete any necessary maintenance of the packing lines or facility.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties




- Responsible for the general outdoor maintenance including snow removal.
- Responsible to respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide maintenance on AC units, replace filters and other as assigned.
- Inspect production conveyors and address repairs as needed to guarantee correct equipment functioning.
- Apply critical thinking and provide creative solutions to address the issues that arise with the facility and equipment. Support production team, so equipment is always running, and daily and weekly goals are met.
- Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team.
- 1 year of maintenance experience required.
- High School diploma with technical training and/or experience.
- Background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience with forklifts, conveyors, hydraulic and/or pneumatic equipment an asset.
- Possesses maintenance troubleshooting ability.
- Must have a valid G driver's license.
- Ability to use standard hand/power tools and shop equipment.
- Able to complete all work duties and procedures efficiently, according to instructions given by Management.
- Self-motivated, able to balance multiple priorities.
- Ability to complete duties with minimal supervision.
- Must possess great communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with all levels of workers within the organization.
- Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
