We are seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and engaging Math Tutor to provide academic support to students and help them strengthen their mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence.

The ideal candidate should have a strong mathematics background and be able to adapt instruction to students with different learning styles and academic levels.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one and/or small-group mathematics tutoring.
- Teach and reinforce mathematical concepts based on students’ school curricula and individual learning needs.
- Support students in subjects such as Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus, and Data Management, depending on the tutor’s expertise.
- Assist students with homework, assignments, test preparation, and exam review.
- Identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement and develop appropriate learning strategies.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using step-by-step methods and practical examples.
- Develop students’ problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.
- Prepare practice questions, exercises,



and review materials when necessary.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive academic feedback.
- Help students develop effective study habits, organization, and test-taking strategies.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and academically focused learning setting.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the academic team when required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Education, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and patiently.
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, responsible, organized, and student-focused.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and academic levels.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Markham, ON L3R 0J7
