Job Overview

Responsible for facing product on shelves and maintaining meat counters including cleaning.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Wraps, weighs and prices meat as directed by Manager.
- Maintains display case by stocking wrapped meat, labeling and rotating the product, and updating the signage and price tags.
- Assists with the unloading of boxes from receiving, unpacks and stores product.
- Maintains Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance by cleaning and disinfecting work areas including counters, display and storage areas, floors, sinks, and equipment.
- Provides customer service by greeting customers, and responding to their inquiries.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

· Grade 10 or an equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills

· Valuable customer service skills

· Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers

· Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment





· Physical ability to perform the duties of the job

Working Conditions

· Lifting and moving weights of 10 - 20 kilograms (e.g., case-ready meat products)

· Collecting product from refrigerated meat areas and putting it out for display

· Some reaching while putting meat products into display areas or culling products

· Exposure to cool or cold temperatures while retrieving and placing product into displays areas

· Exposure to chemicals used for cleaning and disinfecting display areas and general work areas
