Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our facilities maintenance team in Surrey, BC.

In this role, you will ensure maximum uptime for nursery equipment, irrigation, machinery, and small engines. You will be responsible for the maintenance of irrigation systems and pumps, potting lines, and production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, inspection, and calibration of all automated nursery production equipment.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical failures on conveyor belts, soil hoppers, and fillers.
- Irrigation & Water Systems: Maintain and service commercial water filtration and water pumps.
- Greenhouse Climate Controls: Service and maintain motorized ventilation, irrigation, and automated shade/thermal curtains.
- Fabrication & Welding: Perform custom modifications, structural rigging, and welding to repair or optimize nursery equipment and facilities.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to WorkSafeBC regulations, keeping accurate maintenance logs and maintaining a clean, hazard-free shop environment.





Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance. Prior exposure to agricultural machinery, processing equipment, or automated manufacturing systems is an asset.
- Technical Skills:
- Competence in welding and custom steel fabrication.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in varying environments (inside production facility, warehouse, greenhouses, and outdoor growing areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Travel/License: Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License (you may need to drive a service golf cart or van).

Job Type: Permanent Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
