This is a permanent part-time position - 23.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Sherwood Care is a 100-bed continuing care facility located in the Centre in the Park of Sherwood Park. As part of our philosophy to be the "Best Place to Be" and the "The Best Place to Work", we strive for resident-centred care and staff well being in a faith-based setting.

This position is responsible for:

- Planning, organizing, implementing, documenting, and evaluating the occupational therapy services designed to meet the individual needs and abilities of the residents, in order to maintain/improve their level of functioning.
- Maintaining assessment data base in RAI-MDS as per Alberta Health Services standards including care planning
- Maintaining confidentiality of all resident matters and information
- Acting as a resource to nursing staff regarding the therapy needs for residents
- Participating actively in the education of staff
- Assisting in the development,



maintenance and evaluation of Quality Initiatives related to Sherwood Care's rehabilitation services
- Direct supervision of Rehabilitation Assistants

Applicants must be registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists and registered as an AADL Authorizer. Skills/experience in the following OT Special Assessments are not required but will be considered an asset:

- Swallowing
- Lower leg assessments
- Cognition
- Geriatric depression scales
- Splinting, Seating, Wheelchair modifications, repairs and ordering, Wheelchair cushions
- Skin care/Pressure management

Pay: $41.53-$53.64 per hour Expected hours: 23.25 per week
