POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for SOC Analysts motivated to deliver on mandates. The main assignments would be to monitor and detect threats within the security operations centre, triage and analyze alerts, conduct first- and second-level investigations, take part in handling security incidents and contribute to improving detection rules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor security alerts and logs in the SIEM and detection tools.
Triage, qualify and prioritize alerts according to their criticality and impact.
Conduct level 1 and 2 security incident investigations and analysis.
Apply containment, escalation and incident response procedures.
Contribute to improving detection rules, use cases and automations.
Document incidents, analyses and post-incident reports.
Monitor threats and vulnerabilities and share findings.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
University degree in computer science, management or any related discipline.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in information technology.
Eight (08) to fifteen (15) years of experience as a SOC Analyst.
Experience with one of the following frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DSDM, Secure, Nexus.
Hold one of the following certifications:



Cisco CyberOps Professional, GIAC Security Operations Certified (GSOC).
Hold one of the following certifications (an asset): CISSP, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
Experience with one of the following tools: Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, JIRA.
Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
Language: French and English
