We are seeking a skilled and experienced builder to join our piece-work production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, constructing, and repairing pallets using a variety of tools and techniques. This role requires mechanical aptitude, experience with woodworking and machining, knowledge and experience with air tools and and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
The Builder will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and durability of our projects, contributing to the successful completion of construction and manufacturing tasks.
Responsibilities
- Repair and refurbish damaged pallets using woodworking tools, power tools, and hand tools to restore them to operational standards
- Use tape measures and other tools to ensure precision in measurements and assembly
- Conduct frequent inspection of finished product to ensure parts meet QC standards
- Heavy lifting and stacking of pallets required - able to lift 50 lbs
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing, woodworking, or pallet repair is highly preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse and production facility operation and is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, calipers, and CNC machinery is desirable
- Warehouse experience involving heavy lifting and material handling will support success in this role
- Knowledge of construction or carpentry practices can enhance repair quality
