You will be responsible for installing ground support in underground mining operations, to ensure the safety and stability of the mine. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.Operate underground bolting equipment to install rock bolts, mesh, and other ground support systems to stabilize tunnelsConduct routine inspections and maintenance on bolting equipment to ensure safe and efficient operationsPerform bolting duties according to mine plans and engineering specificationsAdhere to all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a protected work environmentCollaborate with the underground team to ensure that all bolting activities are completed on schedule and within operational standardsMaintain accurate records of bolting activities, equipment usage,



and maintenance logsMonitor ground conditions and report any concerns to supervisor or engineersIdentify unsafe conditions in underground headings and report to supervisionAssess all excavations and install ground support in development or reconditioned areas as per plan and section as the development progressesInstall or fix existing mine services such as vent tubing and pipes using various lifting equipment such a scissor trucks chain blocks and hand toolsInstall ground support following approved method of installationDrill holes using hand-held pneumatic drills (jackleg and Stoper)Prepare the face and load the round for the mining cycle.WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDMinimum of 4000 hours operating bolting equipment in an underground mining environmentKnowledge of ground support systems and their role in ensuring tunnel stabilityAbility to read and interpret mine plans and bolting specificationsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standardsGood physical condition, with the ability to work in confined underground spacesExcellent teamwork and communication skillsBasic UG Hard Rock Common CoreAbility to work in a safe and productive manner and to safely direct the activities of less skilled employeesWorking knowledge and skills in Development MiningShotcrete/concrete/construction experience would be considered an assetExperience operating scooptrams, scissorlifts, and other underground equipmentAbility to lift and physically handle material up to 50lbsExperience in installation of ground support.Your Work Schedule:Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine Site.
