Position Overview

We’re seeking a knowledgeable and organized Parts Shipper/Receiver to support our busy mechanic shop. In this role, you’ll help, source, manage, and distribute essential parts and supplies to our team’s work. You’ll play a key role in assisting our Parts Supervisor and keeping repairs efficient, accurate, and on schedule. We are a large forestry contractor working across the mid Vancouver Island, with many pieces of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles, and over 30 years in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Parts sourcing — Identify, locate, and order specialized components from multiple vendors.
- Inventory control — Maintain accurate stock levels, perform cycle counts, and manage reorder points.
- Vendor management — Build strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
- Work order support — Prepare parts kits, track usage, and ensure timely availability for ongoing jobs.
- Mechanic and operator assistance — Provide parts lookups and product guidance to mechanics and equipment operators.
- Data accuracy — Update inventory systems,



process invoices, and maintain detailed records.

Qualifications

- Experience with automotive repairs & parts and/or heavy equipment (preferred).
- Self motivated and ability to work well in a team and individually.
- Understanding of mechanical components and equipment systems (preferred).
- Proficiency with computers and navigating software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
