Whitby, ON L1R3A5, CAN Description The Village of Taunton Mills has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Part Time PCA MED CERT to join their team on South and North Independent apartments. Working 20 hours bi-weekly, four days in two weeks rotating schedule, including every other weekend.

Working Hours: 07:00 - 13:30 Start Date: Beginning of October The hiring rate for this role is $22.90 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

Medication Certified Personal Care

Aides (Med Cert PCA) at Schlegel Villages foster exemplary relationships with residents,



their families and the Village team to deliver holistic care to our residents and medication administration to medically stable residents that focusses on flexible living and quality of life. In addition to supporting residents with personal hygiene care, basic nursing care, companionship and activities, our Medication Certified Personal Care Aides (Med Cert PCA) administer medications, record temperature, pulse and respiration (TPR) and skin care treatments under the direction of our Registered Team.

Aides (Med Cert PCA) know our residents and are quickly able to identify and report any changes in the resident’s well-being to the Registered Practical Nurse or Charge Nurse. To be successful as our new Personal Care Aide Medication Certified (PCA Med Cert), you will:

- Hold a valid PSW Certificate that is 600 hours or greater and meets the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities, the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges, or the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Have successfully completed a Medication Administration certificate or course
