Responsibilities

- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance their comfort and independence
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication-related activities diligently
- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while respecting dietary restrictions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment within the client’s home or care facility




- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury for both client and caregiver
- Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members

Qualifications

- Proven experience working as a Personal Support Worker (PSW), with assisted living or nursing home experience preferred
- Strong background in senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and caregiving best practices
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks, meal preparation, and other household duties efficiently
- Excellent communication skills combined with a caring attitude that respects client dignity
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent credential is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are considered an asset for home care roles
