This role is critical to keeping our fleet secure, reliable, and productive, helping us minimize downtime, exceed client expectations, and get the job done right the first time.Working as part of our Maintenance Team, you'll support a wide range of heavy civil and mining projects by ensuring our equipment is ready to work when and where it's needed.We are currently recruiting for this position with an estimated project start date of mid-September.What You'll Be DoingInspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment including haul trucks, dozers, excavators, graders, and support equipmentDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic toolsRepair or replace components and systems using hand and power toolsTest repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and MacKay standardsPerform routine servicing, cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenanceService attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches,



and side boomsWork closely with the Parts Technician to identify and source required maintenance itemsComplete daily maintenance reports through SiteDocsSubmit daily timecards accurately and on timeMaintain a strong focus on safety while working in shop and field environmentsWhat You BringInterprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) CertificationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while still being a solid team playerClear communication skills and attention to detailExperience working on Caterpillar general line equipment is an assetEngine, component rebuilding, transmission, or hydraulic testing experience is considered an assetAbility to follow written and verbal instructions while working safelyA positive attitude, strong initiative, and pride in your workValid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean Driver's AbstractWhat's In It for YouThis role is based out of Sparwood, B.C., working a 7 x 7 shift rotation.
