We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a comprehensive understanding of physiotherapy practices and college regulations. This role involves working with patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments, to develop and implement effective treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and overall health.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical condition and needs.
- Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Implement physiotherapy interventions such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, and trigger point therapy. Acupuncture is an asset.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Document all patient interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and college standards.
- Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving acute care or inpatient settings.
Skills
- Solid knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physiotherapy practices.
- Experience in discharge planning and developing effective care plans.
- Proficiency in managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those requiring orthopedic care.
- Familiarity with both inpatient hospital environments and outpatient clinic settings.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience with home & community care is advantageous.
- Understanding of acute care principles and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
