Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Precision Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing and finishing machined parts using CNC and manual machining equipment, cylindrical grinding, and sanding/polishing tools. You will ensure quality and safety standards are met, maintain equipment and supplies, keep accurate records, and maintain a clean and organized workspace daily. These are the minimum company expectations.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathe and/or mill), manual mills, lathes, drilling machines, and cylindrical grinders.
- Install and adjust chucks, vices, fixtures, tools, and attachments.
- Select proper tools and fixtures, perform tool wear offset, and operate hoisting/lifting devices as needed.
- Set up and operate sanding/polishing equipment and utilize associated tools (belters, finger sanders, grinders, etc.).




- Maintain machine calibration and perform routine maintenance to optimize performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work workplace during machining operations
- Assist with assembly, welding, or other related manufacturing tasks as needed

Skills

- Robust mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe and CNC milling machines
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, forklift operation, and lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, veniers, gauges, machining techniques, assembly processes, and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality assurance

Pay: From $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

Education

- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- Machining: 2 years (preferred)
