Duties

- Prepare ingredients and components for baking and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in the cooking process by following directions from chefs or head cooks to ensure timely food production
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent waste and ensure freshness
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently completing meal preparation tasks




- Ensure all food handling procedures meet health regulations and safety standards
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management when stock needs replenishing

Requirements

- Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or food industry roles preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Familiarity with serving customers or assisting in food service environments is a plus
- Commitment to upholding food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times
