Dairy Lane Systems started in 1990 as a Surge milking equipment dealer. Since that time, we have expanded our scope to include automated milking robots, stabling, manure management, plumbing and ventilation services. Most recently, we acquired 2 milking equipment dealerships in Western Canada.

In addition to the milking equipment sales, service and installation business, we are also involved in the design, build and operation of renewable energy biogas plants (DLS Biogas), the construction of agricultural structures (DLS Structures) and the manufacturing of dairy farm equipment (DLS Manufacturing).

The successful candidate will be motivated and detail oriented working as part of an innovative and creative team to create parts for milking parlours, manure management equipment and barn stabling. The position will involve operating a Trumpf TruBend 5230 CNC Press Brake Machine; checking and measuring produced parts to confirm their accuracy and precision.

As we are growing, we are adding a new shift to this team. This is a full-time position working afternoon shift Monday – Friday 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm with shift premium. We offer a total compensation package that includes competitive pay,

Job Requirements

Set up and operation of 230-ton CNC Brake Press to fabricate and form high quality products according to drawing data and requirements (blueprints, engineering parameters and production schedules)

Check and measure parts to confirm accuracy, precision and adherence to all quality specifications/standards and engineering specifications

Operate forklift as required; loading/unloading and lifting of heavy materials/large sheet/plates

Inspect and maintain press brake tools and equipment for conformance with safety requirements

Ensure safety-related concerns are corrected prior to performing operations

Prioritize production runs to ensure customer order requirements and deadlines are met, maximize machine run time plus productivity

Establish press brake adhering print parameters and work instructions

Maintain a skilled and collaborative relationship and image with our customers through quality and qualified workmanship consistent with company and industry standards

Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury

Skills and Qualifications

2 – 5 years experience with setup and operation of a CNC press brake

Demonstrated understanding of press brake tooling

Experience with Trutops Boost software considered an asset

Experience using measuring tools: including tape measure, Vernier Calipers, protractor

Proficient computer and mathematical skills with the ability to seamlessly perform fraction to decimal conversions

Experience working with other CNC metalworking equipment an asset

Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints, drawings and sketches





Welding experience an asset

Analytically minded with an eye for detail

Strong work ethic and desire to be part of a high-performing team

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Highly organized to plan your day and prioritize your workload meeting deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction

Ability to work independently or as part of a team and take ownership of assigned work

Strong communication skills to clearly communicate with team as necessary

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada

Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract
