Job Overview

Canadian Bavarian Millwork & Lumber Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hard-working Production Worker. This hands-on role supports manufacturing operations by operating equipment, handling materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.

This role is well suited to someone who is analytical and detail-oriented—someone who pays attention to measurements, counts, product quality and production requirements, and notices when something doesn’t look right.

Responsibilities

- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle, sort, stack, measure and move wood products throughout the facility.
- Accurately follow work orders, measurements and production specifications.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow company safety procedures, policies and work instructions.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to work accurately with measurements, counts and production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to recognize when something is incorrect or inconsistent and ask questions when needed.
- Ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, stacking and moving materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to follow instructions, safe work procedures and production standards.




- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment and in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, sawmill or woodworking setting is an asset.
- Lumber grading or wood-products inspection experience is an asset.
- Forklift certification and/or operating experience is an asset.
- Machine operation experience is an asset; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Compensation Canadian Bavarian Millwork & Lumber Ltd. is a Living Wage BC certified employer.

Starting wage: $23/hour, increasing to $25/hour following successful completion of the 3-month probationary period. A higher starting wage may be offered based on relevant experience.
