Job Summary and Requirements This posting This posting will be used to fill 3 (three) auxiliary on call positions working 75hours bi-weekly.

As a Critical Care Paramedic, thisposition will be based in Whitehorse and be required to provide coverage for shortages in communities with various crews and working a variety of shifts based on operational requirements.

This opportunity Reporting to the Superintendent,



Air Ambulance theCritical Care Paramedicwill employ professional Critical Care Life Support skills to provide pre-hospital and inter-facility treatment and transportation to the general population. Evaluates the patient's clinical condition and performs detailed assessments in order to establish a treatment plan in support of optimal patient care. Works in environments where there is no medical support and where transport times routinely exceed four hours.

Recent experience delivering pre-hospital emergency care at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level

Desired knowledge, skills and suitability Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Robust decision making and evaluation skills; Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong understanding of working with various cultural backgrounds

TB Screening, Security clearance including vulnerable sector check, Valid class 4 driver's license and Maintaining current CCP and/or ACP certification.

Job requirements This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:

Shift work, including weekends and standby , wearing a uniform, and maintaining all conditions of employment.
