The candidate will develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.

The candidate will lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.

The ideal candidate will support supervisors in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.

They will assist supervisors in keeping records

They will engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts

They will guide and assist children in the development of etiquette, dressing and toilet habits.

They will maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties as required.





They will submit written observations on children to supervisors and discuss progress and issues of children at staff meetings.

They must have a thorough knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act.

They will establish guidelines for acceptable behavior by role modelling.

They will assess the abilities, interests and needs of children.

They will plan and maintain an setting that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Experience

- working with children: 3 years (preferred)
