Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis
- Prepare animals for procedures by administering medications, setting up equipment, and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and document treatments accurately
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health strategies
- Manage laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use
- Support client communication by scheduling appointments and providing clear instructions on treatments and procedures
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Proven laboratory experience with familiarity in conducting diagnostic tests efficiently and accurately
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners
- Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently in various clinical situations
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
