The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and pet-loving Retail Sales Associate to join our team! As the front-of-house face of our brand, you will welcome guests, manage salon and bakery sales, schedule grooming appointments, and maintain smooth day-to-day salon flow.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service & Salon Sales: Welcome pets and pet parents, share product knowledge on gourmet bakery treats, chews, toys, and premium pet supplies, and process register sales.
- Salon Intake & Rebooking: Check pets in and out, collect grooming deposits, communicate customer styling notes accurately, and proactively rebook maintenance appointments before clients leave the store.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate salon calendar bookings via our POS/booking system with minimal idle gaps between appointments.
- Service Upgrades & Promotions: Recommend wellness add-ons (such as blueberry facials, de-shedding treatments, and teeth brushing) and inform pet parents of current store promotions.




- Bathing & Salon Support: Assist with bathing-only appointments, de-shed prep, and keeping the salon workspace clean, sanitary, and well-organized.
- Merchandising & Store Standards: Restock bakery display cases and retail shelves, assist with inventory intake, and maintain a tidy, presentable sales floor.

Qualifications

- Required: Prior pet retail or pet-industry customer service experience (experience working with pet food, specialty treats, toys, or boutique pet items).
- Asset / Nice to Have: Hands-on experience as a pet bather or salon assistant (handling dogs safely in a bathing tub, safe blow-drying, and ear cleaning).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—warm, patient, and professional with both humans and pets.
- Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds, coat types, and energy levels.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with basic computer/POS familiarity (scheduling appointments, card payments, customer profiles).
- Flexible availability, including weekends or peak shopping hours.
