The Roofing & Exteriors Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative, customer service, and project coordination support for Krueger Enterprises' roofing and exterior renovation operations, including roofing, siding, soffit, fascia, and related exterior work.
This position serves as an important point of contact between Krueger Enterprises and homeowners, insurance companies, project managers, field crews, suppliers, and other parties involved in our projects.
The Coordinator assists with projects from the initial customer contact through authorization, scheduling, completion, and follow-up. The position requires robust customer service and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time.
While the General Manager will provide direction and support, the Coordinator is expected to work independently, organize their own daily workload, maintain project schedules, and ensure required follow-ups and administrative tasks are completed.
Previous roofing or exterior construction experience is an asset but is not required. Training will be provided on company procedures, software, products, and industry-specific requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Service & Reception
- Answer incoming telephone calls and provide general reception support.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners and customers throughout their projects.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, insurance companies, project managers, suppliers, field personnel, and other parties involved in our work.
- Respond to customer questions and requests by telephone, email, and in person.
- Provide customers with updates regarding their projects, scheduling, products, and next steps.
- Direct technical or project-specific questions to the General Manager or appropriate staff member when required.
- Maintain a professional, helpful, and customer-focused approach to all communications.
Project Administration
- Enter and maintain accurate customer and project information within the company's management software.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and documentation.
- Send inspection reports, estimates, photographs, and other required documentation to homeowners, insurance companies, and other applicable parties.
- Follow up with homeowners after estimates have been provided to determine whether they would like to proceed with Krueger Enterprises.
- Track outstanding customer decisions, documentation, approvals, and other required follow-ups.
- Assist with general data entry and administrative duties related to roofing and exterior projects.
Work Authorizations & Work Orders
- Prepare Work Authorizations for approved projects.
- Ensure Work Authorizations accurately detail the complete approved scope of work, products, and other relevant project information.
- Include tentative scheduling information and communicate anticipated timelines to customers.
- Prepare detailed work orders for roofing, siding, soffit, fascia, and metal crews.
- Ensure crews have the information required to complete the work accurately and efficiently.
- Review project information for completeness before work is scheduled.
Scheduling & Project Coordination
- Assist with scheduling roofing, siding, metal, and other exterior crews.
- Maintain and follow project schedules and make adjustments as required due to weather, project delays, crew availability, material availability, or other circumstances.
- Communicate scheduling information and changes to homeowners, field crews, and other affected parties.
- Coordinate with the General Manager and other staff to prioritize work and maintain an efficient schedule.
- Monitor projects as they progress and follow up when work has been completed.
- Ensure outstanding items, documentation, or follow-up work are identified and addressed.
Product & Colour Selection
- Assist homeowners with selecting roofing and exterior products.
- Help customers choose shingle styles and colours, siding products and colours, and soffit, fascia, and other metal products.
- Provide assistance by email, telephone, or in person.
- Maintain accurate records of customer selections and ensure product information is properly communicated to the appropriate staff and crews.
- Develop working knowledge of the roofing and exterior products offered by Krueger Enterprises. Product-specific training will be provided.
Basic Accounting & Office Administration
- Assist with basic customer invoicing.
- Complete basic bill entry and related administrative accounting tasks.
- Assist with filing, document preparation, data entry, and other general office duties.
- Work cooperatively with other office staff to ensure day-to-day administrative responsibilities are completed.

Preferred
- Previous experience in customer service, office administration, project coordination, construction, or a related field.
- Previous experience in roofing, siding, exterior renovations, insurance restoration, or construction administration is considered an asset.
- Experience coordinating schedules or multiple active projects is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of roofing and exterior building products is considered an asset but is not required.
Knowledge & Training The Roofing & Exteriors Coordinator is not expected to begin the position with extensive technical roofing or construction knowledge. Training will be provided regarding:
- Roofing systems and terminology.
- Shingle products, styles, and colours.
- Siding, soffit, fascia, and exterior metal products.
- Company procedures and workflow.
- Work Authorizations and crew work orders.
- Scheduling procedures.
- Company project-management software.
- Insurance-related projects and documentation.
- Customer communication procedures.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop their industry and product knowledge over time so they can confidently assist customers and effectively coordinate projects. Working Relationships The Roofing & Exteriors Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with other office personnel, roofing crews, metal and siding crews, field personnel, suppliers, homeowners, insurance representatives, and project managers.
This is a collaborative office position; however, the Coordinator must also be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of their assigned responsibilities.

The Roofing & Exteriors Coordinator plays an important role in both the operation of the roofing and exterior departments and the overall customer experience. The position requires someone who can combine strong administrative and organizational abilities with excellent customer service and consistent follow-through. Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
