The RV Service Technician at Keith’s Trailer Sales is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of recreational vehicles. This role ensures that all service work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to customer satisfaction and the dealership’s reputation. The technician works closely with the Service Manager and other team members to deliver effective, timely, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in towable and motorized RVs.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Accurately complete service reports, warranty claims, and work orders, documenting all labor, parts, and time.
- Stay current with evolving RV technologies and participate in ongoing training programs to maintain certification and enhance skills.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all H&S; regulations and shop policies.

Required Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing RV systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and service software.

Qualifications

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of experience in RV, automotive, or related mechanical repair.
- Experience with RV systems and components is preferred.

Education:
- High school diploma required.
- Technical training or certification in RV repair is an asset.
- RV1 or RV2 is an asset

Other Requirements:
- Valid Ontario driver’s license.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on repair work.

Working Environment and Conditions
- Reporting To: Service Manager
- Location: Keith’s Trailer Sales, Hillsburgh, Ontario
- Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional weekends or extended hours as needed
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in shop and outdoor environments
- Other Conditions: On-site role requiring frequent interaction with service staff, technicians, and customers
