Day shifts only.Internal applications for positions within a bargaining unit must be received within 7 days of this position being posted to have seniority considered.What you'll be doingPlan, design, estimate, and interpret drawings and work on renovation, grounds projects, or new equipment installationsWinter snow management, and make contact with additional snow removal staff or contractorsWinter circle check and de-icing, and order sand and ice meltersTurf management including grass, cutting, trimming, and applying fertilizerComplete regular scheduled application of weed control, and ensure contractor abides with regulationsFall and spring clean-up of grounds and gardens including sweeping sand from walks and roadwaysPlan and maintain garden bedsTrim trees, brushes, and hedgesOperate irrigation systems when requiredFrequently empty waste containersService, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on designated equipmentMaintain and make recommendations for replacement as necessary of exterior signs, furniture, and roadway markingsObserve and coordinate contracted trades when requiredReview current work orders, and determine appropriateness of requestsWork from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs may be requiredUse a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment,
