Patients are transferred to the ALC unit once they have been deemed medically stable and are awaiting transfer to alternative facilities or programs (ie. Long-Term Care Homes or Rehabilitation). The main focus of the ALC unit and our interdisciplinary team is special assessment treatment and rehabilitation of elderly patients with special needs in order to achieve optimal wellness before they are discharged or while awaiting alternate levels of care in the community. **Position Summary:** Under the supervision of registered nursing staff the Personal Support Worker will be integrated in the unit's model of care to provide direct quality personal care to patients.
