The Voice Behind Our Experience

When a homeowner calls Bluewater Energy for the first time, they're often thinking about something important: protecting their family during outages, lowering their hydro bills, or finally making the switch to clean energy. The first voice they hear sets the tone for everything that follows. We're looking for that voice. Since 2009, we've partnered with over 1,000 home and business owners across Ontario. Our mission is easy and demanding: we will exceed our customers' expectations. This role is where that promise starts.

Who We Are

Bluewater Energy designs and installs premium smart energy solutions for homes and businesses, including solar, battery storage, backup generators, EV chargers, and intelligent power control systems. We're proud to be:

- EnerQuality Contractor of the Year (2020)
- A Certified Tesla Powerwall Installer
- A Certified Generac Clean Energy Installer

We're a close-knit team of dedicated, people-oriented professionals. We seek and accept responsibility, approach problems with a positive attitude, and do what's right even when no one is watching.

The Role

As our Sales & Marketing Administrator, you'll be the organisational backbone of our sales team and the first point of contact for our clients. You'll keep our pipeline moving, our records accurate, and our customers feeling cared for from the first call through to installation. You'll work closely with our Sales Representatives, Project Designer, and Operations team, and you'll be trusted to manage your own day with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

Be our first impression

- Answer incoming calls with warmth and professionalism, and route them to the right person
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email, promptly and accurately

Keep everything organised
- Accurately log and input data into our CRM in a timely fashion
- File save / review client documentation as needed to manage utility applications and site visits
- Manage utility applications and permit paperwork, and track them through to approval
- Process service call estimates, verify details, and flag discrepancies before they become problems

Support growth
- Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for the sales manager
- Help plan and execute marketing activities: social media, website updates, trade shows, and events
- Gather customer feedback and satisfaction surveys, and share insights with the team

Who You Are

Our Values describe the people who thrive here. We're especially looking for someone who is:

- Organised to the core. You juggle multiple deadlines, files, and schedules without anything slipping through the cracks. Your inbox and your desk have a system.
- A natural on the phone. You're confident, clear, and friendly, and you can put a nervous homeowner at ease or calmly handle a frustrated one.
- Genuinely people-oriented. You care about customers and teammates, and it shows in how you listen and follow through.
- Diligent and detail-driven. You double-check the numbers, catch the missing signature, and finish what you start.
- Independent and accountable. You don't wait to be told what's next. You take ownership,

make sound and timely decisions, and know when to ask for help.
- Enthusiastic and curious. You're eager to learn about clean energy technology (no experience required, we'll teach you).

What You Bring

- Post-secondary education in business, administration, marketing, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in sales administration, customer service, or an office coordination role
- Strong proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Comfort working in a CRM (experience with a construction or sales CRM is an asset)
- WordPress or social media experience is an asset
- A valid Ontario driver's licence

What We Offer

- The chance to play a meaningful role in Ontario's transition to clean energy
- Training and career development as you grow with us
- Paid annual vacation
- Flexible Benefits
- A collaborative, supportive team that values initiative and celebrates good work
- Work on innovative, custom energy projects for homes and businesses

This job does require you to be in the office full time, Monday - Friday 8-5pm.

How to Apply

Submit your resume and a short cover letter. In your cover letter, tell us about a time you kept a busy schedule, project, or group of people organised, and what system you used. Applications without a cover letter won't be considered. Shortlisted candidates will start with a brief phone conversation, since that's where much of this role happens.

Bluewater Energy is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and will provide accommodations throughout the hiring process upon request, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
