Duties

- Engage with prospective clients through outside sales efforts, visiting businesses and attending industry events to generate current leads and opportunities.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients through effective account management strategies.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand client requirements, offering tailored solutions that align with their goals.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms confidently to close deals that benefit both the client and the company.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to identify target markets and develop strategies to increase brand awareness.
- Utilize CRM tools like Salesforce to track sales activities, manage customer data, and forecast future sales opportunities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and maintaining high levels of satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Prospect for and develop new residential and commercial customers.
- Build long-term relationships with builders, contractors, designers, developers, property professionals, homeowners, and other business clients.
- Present and sell cabinetry, furniture, building materials, fixtures, accessories, and related products.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, customer inquiries, orders, and active sales opportunities.
- Assist customers in the showroom and conduct customers or site visits when required.




- Develop B2B sales channels, referral relationships, partnerships, and project-based opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records and provide regular sales activity updates.
- Support marketing, networking, showroom events, and business development initiatives.
- Work toward assigned sales, customer acquisition, and business development objectives.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technology sales is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals effectively.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret market data and customer insights for strategic decision-making.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for managing customer relationships.
- Ability to communicate fluently in French is a plus, especially when engaging with diverse clients.
- Demonstrated business development capabilities with a proactive approach to expanding market reach.
- Customer service orientation combined with technical sales experience to address complex client needs effectively.
- Experience in cabinetry, furniture, construction, building materials, renovation, interior design, or related industries is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Red Deer city, Alberta and around areas' market and business networks is an asset.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Ability to business travel as required.
- Organized, self-motivated, dependable, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Mandarin language skills are an asset but not required.
