Job Overview The successful candidate will work through the 2027 winter season, and be required to operate a variety of heavy equipment to transparent and maintain the airfield, access roads, parking lots, and other airport facilities. They will also apply sand/salt and de-icing products during winter operations. The individual must be capable of safely operating a front-end loader, backhoe, grader, snowplow, snow blower, runway sweeper and other equipment as required.

The role also involves performing general maintenance of airport buildings and facilities, and contributing to a safety-first environment where operational excellence and regulatory compliance are paramount.

Qualifications

- Applicants must have experience, certified training and hold a valid certificate in:

- Valid driver’s license




- Class 3 Equipment Operators license with an air brake endorsement issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Clear criminal and vulnerable sector check
- Driver’s abstract deemed acceptable by Employer
- Certification in powerline hazard training
- Training in operating various types of heavy equipment,

- Standard First Aid/CPR/AED

- WHIMIS 2015
- considerable knowledge of the regulations and safety practices utilized in the operation of heavy equipment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Note: Possession of an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit and a Restricted Radio Operators License would be definite assets. Pay: $33.39 per hour
