The Role

We are looking for a full-time seasonal Production Worker specializing in fabric cutting to join our team until December 11, 2026. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You will play an important role in the daily operation and success of our Production Department. Your primary responsibility will be accurately fulfilling fabric yardage orders while maintaining our quality-control standards.

This is an active, physical position that requires efficiency, attention to detail and a robust commitment to workplace safety. You must be comfortable working on your feet and safely handling large rolls of fabric weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities: Fabric Cutting and Order Fulfillment

- Accurately identify and select the correct bolts of fabric from inventory.
- Measure and cut fabric neatly, efficiently and precisely according to each order.
- Properly fold or roll cut fabric so it is ready for secure packaging.
- Safely lift, carry and manoeuvre rolls of fabric weighing up to 50 pounds using proper handling techniques.
- Ensure orders are completed accurately and within required timelines.

Quality Control

- Visually inspect fabric throughout the cutting process to identify flaws, damage or other defects.
- Verify that the fabric, quantity and quality match the order requirements.
- Prepare fabric for final processing by removing loose threads, dust, dirt or debris.
- Report quality concerns or inventory discrepancies to the Production Manager.

Workspace Maintenance and Safety

- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workspace.




- Keep cutting and packing areas tidy throughout the day to prevent tripping hazards and other safety concerns.
- Complete daily departmental upkeep, including sweeping floors and removing garbage and recycling.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures when handling fabric, equipment and heavy materials.

General Production Support

- Work collaboratively with the Production Manager and other team members.
- Assist with additional production tasks as required.
- Participate in general duties and special projects that support the daily operation of the Production Department.

Skills and Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proven time-management skills and the ability to work efficiently within deadlines.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
- Dependable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Previous fabric-cutting, warehouse, production or order-fulfillment experience is an asset but not required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry and perform repetitive physical movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely and repeatedly lift, carry and manoeuvre rolls of fabric weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong awareness of physical surroundings and a commitment to following all safety protocols.
