Seasonal Tire Technician / Tire Change Technician

Take 5 Oil Change – North London, ON

Take 5 Oil Change is looking for a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Tire Technician to join our North London team for the upcoming tire season.

This position is ideal for someone with automotive or tire experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced shop environment. The primary focus of this role will be completing seasonal tire changes safely and efficiently while helping the team provide fast, friendly, and professional service to our customers.

This is a seasonal position with the potential for continued employment based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

- Perform seasonal tire changes and tire rotations
- Safely remove and install wheels and tires
- Properly torque wheels to manufacturer specifications
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and overall condition
- Check and adjust tire pressures
- Assist with mounting and balancing tires when required
- Move, organize, and store customer tire sets
- Safely operate shop equipment, jacks, hoists, and hand/power tools
- Drive customer vehicles in and out of the service bays when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow Take 5 safety procedures and service standards
- Assist the oil change team with other basic automotive services when needed
- Work efficiently with other team members during busy tire-season periods

Qualifications
- Previous tire shop, automotive, mechanical, or quick-lube experience is preferred
- Experience performing seasonal tire changes is a strong asset
- Comfortable using impact guns, torque wrenches, jacks, and other automotive tools
- Ability to safely lift and move wheels and tires weighing up to approximately 40 kg
- Able to stand, bend, lift,



and work on your feet for extended periods
- Solid attention to detail, especially when torquing wheels and inspecting tires
- Reliable and able to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset
- Must be available for a variety of shifts, including weekends during peak tire season

Schedule
- Seasonal / Temporary
- Full time hours available during peak tire season
- Approximately 35–44 hours per week, depending on business needs
- Weekday and weekend availability required
