Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Service Shop Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will support our commitment to delivering reliable service to customers by maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.

Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers and other machinery using hand tools, power tools, and specialized schematics.
- Perform mechanical repairs including assembly, welding, and electrical troubleshooting to restore equipment functionality.
- Maintain accurate service records, including detailed reports on repairs performed and parts used.
- Assist with heavy lifting and heavy equipment operation during maintenance procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with industrial equipment and power tools to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support the installation of new machinery or components following manufacturer specifications and schematics.




- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring customer needs are met promptly.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in dealership or industrial equipment service roles with a robust background in automotive repair or heavy machinery maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment is highly preferred.
- Hands on experience with equipment attachments (snow plows, blowers, salters).
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing assembly, welding, electrical systems, and schematics comprehension.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment required for maintenance tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
