Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Shingler to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing roofing shingles on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Duties

- Safely handle and operate hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives to install roofing shingles accurately.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine shingle layout and installation procedures.
- Measure roof surfaces and calculate material requirements to ensure proper coverage and minimize waste.
- Install shingles using appropriate techniques, including nailing, sealing, and caulking to ensure durability and weather resistance.
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, shingles, and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols.




- Conduct inspections during and after installation to verify alignment, fastening, and overall quality of work.
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and debris removal to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with hand tools used in roofing or construction projects.
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing or carpentry preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing joints and seams.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
- Handyman experience or general construction skills are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a commitment to safety standards.
