POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Shipper/Receiver – Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, shipping, and receiving department within a store fixture manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to supervise a team of 6 or more employees.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be willing to work overtime when required to meet production and customer deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Shipping & Receiving:

- Coordinate and supervise all daily shipping and receiving activities.
- Ensure finished store fixtures, components, materials, and supplies are properly received, inspected, organized, and shipped.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, customer orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ensure products are properly packaged, protected, labelled, and prepared for shipment.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Communicate with production and management regarding shipping priorities and requirements.

Warehouse Supervision
- Manage and supervise a team of 6 or more warehouse employees.
- Assign daily duties and monitor employee performance and productivity.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and warehouse practices.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse.
- Monitor inventory and ensure materials are stored correctly.
- Coordinate the movement of materials between production and the warehouse.
- Train and support warehouse employees as required.

Forklift Operation
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and material movement.




- Ensure forklift operators follow proper safety procedures.
- Conduct or ensure completion of required forklift inspections.
- Maintain safe traffic and material-handling practices within the warehouse.

Computer & Record Keeping
- Use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for reports, records, inventory tracking, schedules, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Maintain proper inventory records and documentation.
- Prepare shipping documents, receiving reports, material records, and other warehouse paperwork.
- Ensure all records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
- Enter and update information in company computer systems as required.

Quality Control
- Perform and oversee quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
- Ensure finished store fixtures meet company and customer quality requirements before shipment.
- Identify damaged, defective, or incorrect materials and products.
- Report quality issues to management and production personnel.
- Maintain records of quality issues and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Production and Quality Control to resolve problems and prevent repeat issues.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all warehouse activities are performed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Promote safe work practices among warehouse employees.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report workplace hazards, incidents, damaged products, and equipment issues to management.
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE The successful candidate must have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or a similar manufacturing environment.




- Previous experience supervising or leading a team of 6 or more employees.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably store fixtures, millwork, metal fabrication, or a related industry.
- Valid forklift operating experience.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Experience with quality control and product inspections.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, purchase orders, packing slips, and production documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
