Project Overview

We are seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to support a construction project in Winnipeg for up to 2 years contract. This is a field-based, client-facing role focused on ensuring site safety, compliance, and hazard mitigation.You will work closely with project teams, project owners and sub-contractors to maintain a safe and compliant work environment while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and provide actionable reports
- Support implementation of health and safety programs on site
- Lead worker safety orientations and verify training compliance
- Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks
- Participate in project meetings and provide safety recommendations
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Liaise with client and regulatory bodies when required

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience




- Strong knowledge of Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health Act and Regulations
- Experience with inspections, hazard assessments, and reporting
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience supporting Iron workers is considered an asset Ability to provide safety support in field and on administrative tasks (program/plan development)

Licence/Certification:
- GSC, NCSO, CRSP or other recognized Safety Designation (required or working towards)
- First Aid / CPR / AED Certification - (required)
- WAH Certificate (required)
- Construction based background (required)

To meet the requirements of this position and our client/worksite standards, the successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol Test. SafetyCo will coordinate and provide access to the required screening as part of the pre-employment process.
