REQUIRED SKILLS & EDUCATION
· Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in residential construction
· Valid class 5 driver’s license and insurance
· High school diploma
· Clean criminal record
· Must have basic hand tools and safety equipment (steel-toed boots, etc.) and a reliable vehicle with the ability to travel to all areas of the city
· Be a self started and have the Ability to perform physically demanding work
& DUTIES De Vries Construction is busy YEAR ROUND (no seasonal layoffs) and looking to add a permanent full time individual to our team. While training and mentorship will be provided on an ongoing basis, the ideal candidate will be able to be work within a team environment, as well as have the ability take direction to complete various tasks.
Experience with the following not mandatory but would be an asset: will train
· Demolition
· Framing
· Drywall/Taping/Painting
· Base & case
· Insulation
· Door and window installation
· Flooring (carpet, hardwoods, etc.)
· Cabinetry install
· Tiling (Floor, kitchen and bath)
Typical projects include but are not limited to; basement, bathroom and kitchen renovations and exterior work including decks, fences, siding, etc.
