SGMOWING is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our snow removal team for the upcoming winter season.
The position involves clearing snow from commercial walkways, residential driveways, sidewalks, entrances, and steps. Snow shovelers will also work closely with our snow plow operators to help clear and maintain properties efficiently during snow events.
Responsibilities
- Shovel commercial sidewalks and walkways
- Shovel residential driveways and walkways
- Clear entrances, steps, and pedestrian areas
- Apply salt and ice-melting materials as required
- Work alongside snow plow operators to transparent properties
- Help clean up areas around parked vehicles, entrances, and areas the plow cannot reach
- Assist with return visits when additional snow clearing is required
- Work during and after snow events
- Maintain safe and accessible properties
- Follow instructions from crew leaders and plow operators
- Work efficiently as part of a snow removal team
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically able to perform repetitive shovelling and outdoor work
- Comfortable working in cold and changing weather conditions
- Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and during snowstorms
- Able to work as part of a team and follow directions
- Previous snow removal experience is an asset but not required
- Reliable transportation to job sites is an asset
Compensation
Starting wage: $20/hour
This is a 5-month seasonal contract for the winter season. Hours will vary depending on snowfall and weather conditions.
