Job Summary

Together Again Family Services provides safe and supportive homes for youth and families with different needs. We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers to support youth in group and private homes. Our approach is strength based approach, trauma-informed, and culturally respectful, with a focus on building confidence, independence, and positive relationships.

Responsibilities

- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and youth care plans.
- Provide direct support to youth and families based on their individual needs and care plans.
- Follow medication procedures when trained and authorized to do so.
- Participate in recreational, social, cultural, and developmental activities.
- Accompany clients to medical, educational, legal, and other appointments when required.
- Support youth in developing life skills such as cooking, budgeting, hygiene, and daily living skills.

Requirements: successful candidate should have:

- Must be 18 years or older.
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Good written, strong communication and documentation skills.
- Must respect different cultures, backgrounds,



and individual needs.
- Experience working with children or youth, experience with youth with developmental, cognitive, or physical disabilities is an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and different shift patterns.
- 2 Employment reference check

License/ Certification Successful applicants will be required to provide or complete:

- Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Child Abuse Registry Check
- Valid First Aid and CPR Level C or higher
- Class 5 License (Preferred)

Training Current staff will receive orientation and training on areas such as:

- Company policies and procedures.
- Confidentiality and privacy.
- Trauma-informed care.
- Youth care and development.
- Cultural humility and Indigenous perspectives.
- Documentation and incident reporting.
- De-escalation and behavior support
- Emergency procedures.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week
