Ready to suit up as a Security Guard What matters most in this role is your ability to read the environment, identify potential risks, anticipate situations, and respond appropriately . Strong observation skills, situational awareness, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

As a Tactical Security Guard , physical ability is an important part of the position. You will be active throughout your shift and may be required to conduct regular patrols in a variety of environments, including retail stores, airports, security facilities, and other assigned sites .

Responsibilities For Security Guard

- Patrol critical areas and remain alert for suspicious or unauthorized activity
- Control access to secure areas and verify identification as required
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the assigned site
- Respond promptly to security incidents, threats, and alarms
- Monitor alarms and security systems, including cameras, and report any issues
- Conduct on-site checks following alarm activations or security concerns
- Document incidents and actions taken through clear and accurate report writing
- Use conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques when dealing with challenging situations
- Work with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents when required
- Maintain a professional security presence and follow all site-specific procedures and protocols

Qualifications For Security Guard

- Valid or Able to get Advanced First Aid certification




- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Able to get a Valid Security Guard Licence
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to safely walk over uneven and rough terrain, including gravel trails and open-pit slopes
- Strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong report-writing and communication skills
