OverviewDirect message the job poster from VBeyond CorporationSr. Technical Recruiter at VBeyond CorporationThe purpose of this job is to fulfill the Unix/Linux Engineer position.This is a hands-on Linux/Solaris position where the individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design and implementation of Unix/Linux solutions. In addition, this engineer will be primarily responsible for vulnerability remediation and providing 2nd and 3rd level support for all Server issues or outages. Ensures the smooth operation of the infrastructure to provide maximum security, performance, and availability. Maintains close vendor relationships to support current technology solutions and provide roadmap strategies for all Unix systems.The candidate also must be flexible to work in 24*7 environments.ResponsibilitiesVulnerability remediationInstall & Configure Linux/Solaris SystemDevelop & maintain configuration management solutions.Perform System Maintenance including patching scheduling & tracking the same; monitor system performance; maintain system security; create system backups.Asset Inventory maintaining; should be aware of Tenable Scan remediation.Provide Architecture Design, Develop and Implementation for all Linux/Unix (including monitoring & reporting tools) and maintaining the same.Manage projects related to implementing Cyber Security tools and products.Perform other Linux/Unix tasks as assigned.Track and manage licenses status for renewal, upgrade, and compliance of all devices.Working knowledge of SimpliVityResolve operational incident tickets (P1/P2/P3) or service request as per the agreed SLA.Follow the required policies and procedures for the incident, problem, and change management.Provide guidance and support to team members.QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experienceGraduate or postgraduate in any stream with course in Computers or IT streamMinimum of three plus (3+)
